How to play GLOBUS
Everything, step by step β from your first minute to leading a nation at war.
GLOBUS is a world built by its players. It starts as open sea; every nation is founded by a player, and every new citizen adds land to it. You train, work and fight; together with the other citizens you build your nation up through five eras, elect its leaders and defend its land.

1 Your first minutes
- Press Play now. You get a name and a place in a nation that is being played β no sign-up.
- Follow the tutorial: it lights up one thing at a time (train, find a job, work, mine, build, the market, a practice battle, politics, your profile). Every step pays a small reward.
- At the end, save your account: choose your own name, add an email and a password, and either stay in your nation or found your own. You keep everything you have.
- Connect Discord when it asks β you get your nation's role there (and gold here).
2 Every day
A few minutes a day is enough. On the Home page:
| ποΈ Train | Raises your strength β stronger players hit harder in battle. |
|---|---|
| πΌ Work | Pays your salary (minus your nation's income tax). You need a job first. |
| βοΈ Mine | Break the rocks and keep the coins β copper, bronze, silver, with luck a gold nugget. |
| ποΈ Build | Give a day of work to your nation's project of the era. When every project is done, the nation enters the next era. |
| π Daily reward | The calendar by the bell: one reward each day you log in, 30 days of them β silver, food, weapons, gold, gear, reward boxes. Missing a day loses nothing. |
3 Money
Every nation pays in the same four coins: gold, silver, bronze and copper (10 copper = 1 bronze, 10 bronze = 1 silver). Silver is everyday money β salaries, food, weapons. Gold is rare: it buys companies, parties and military units, and players trade it for silver at prices they set themselves.
You get gold from levelling up, the daily calendar, the campaign, medals, achievements and the mine.
4 Jobs and companies
- On Jobs, pick an offer and press Apply. Work there once a day.
- Later, found your own company on Companies (10 gold for a Q1 company). Hire players, pay their salary, and sell what they make.
- Raw materials (wheat, wood, water, ironβ¦) feed factories that make products (bread, drinks, weaponsβ¦). Upgrading a company to Q2βQ5 makes it produce faster and better.
5 The market
- Buy and sell food, drinks, weapons and raw materials. Prices are set by the players who sell.
- Choose the coin you sell for β copper, bronze, silver or gold.
- World trade: switch the market to World to buy from players in other nations; a shipping cost is added by distance.
- Change gold and silver with other players, and bid on gear at auctions.
6 Fighting
- Every hit costs 10 energy. Energy refills by itself (up to 100), and each bread or drink gives 10 more.
- Choose a weapon before you hit: Q1 to Q5, better ones hit much harder. One weapon is used per hit; you can also fight with your fists.
- X2, X5, X10 hit several times at once. Some hits are critical.
- Find battles on Military. Wars open from the Village era (a nation founded less than 3 days ago cannot be attacked): a won battle takes a region from the enemy. A nation's capital falls last.
- Join a military unit for bonus damage when you follow its daily order β from level 5 you can found your own.
7 The campaign
Ten fights against the computer, each harder than the last β from the Border Outpost to the Warlord's Citadel. You have 3 minutes from your first hit to break the enemy; hits use real energy and weapons, and the rewards are real too: XP, silver, gear and gold. Lost? Train, level up, bring better weapons and come back.
8 Your nation
Each nation starts as a small island. Every new citizen adds a region of land, up to 20 β beyond that, a nation grows only by war.
| βΊ Settlement | Farms, lumber mills, water plants |
|---|---|
| ποΈ Village | Bakeries, drinks, iron mines β the first elections, and war |
| ποΈ Town | Refineries, paper mills, airlines |
| ποΈ State | Weapons factories and defense systems |
| π Great Power | Its companies make 10% more |
The citizens move the nation through the eras together: each day each of them may give a day of work to a project (drain the swamps, build roadsβ¦), and anyone may give money or goods to it. Everyone who helped is paid when an era is done.
9 Politics
- The founder leads the nation until its first election.
- From the Village era (and 5 citizens), elections are held every 14 days: a Prime Minister and a parliament of 5.
- Found a party (20 gold), run for office, vote. The parliament sets taxes and the Prime Minister manages the treasury.
- Want another nation? You can change citizenship once a week.
10 Travel
Move between regions and nations on Travel. Inside your nation you pay by distance; a flight to another nation needs a plane ticket (you start with one; more are on the market, made by airlines).
11 Level, gear and rewards
- XP from everything you do raises your level. Every level gives a reward box and gold.
- Medals and achievements on your profile pay gold.
- Open your profile to wear gear, pick a picture and see your history.
12 Discord
- Join our server: discord.gg/8GCHbCQGGg.
- On your profile press Connect Discord. It links your game account to your Discord: you get a role with your nation's name there, so everyone sees which nation you play for (and 10 gold here, for Discord accounts older than 30 days).
- Being active there β chatting, voice, reactions β earns ranks, and ranks pay gold in the game.
- World news, wars and elections are posted in #game-news; try
