Privacy Policy

This page explains what GLOBUS keeps about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. GLOBUS is run by the GLOBUS team and you can reach us at globusgames.official@gmail.com.

What we keep

Why we keep it

To run your account and save your progress, to show other players the public parts of the game, to keep the game fair and safe (for example, to spot extra accounts and abuse), and to fix problems. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

GLOBUS sets one cookie, globus_sid, which keeps you signed in. It is essential for the game to work and it is not used for tracking or advertising. Logging out removes it. The game also stores some of your settings in your browser's local storage, which stays on your own device.

Who else sees it

Our hosting and database provider, Render, stores the data for us on its servers. Other players see only the public parts of your game: your username, country, public writing and public results. Your email address is never shown to other players. We share data with anyone else only if the law requires it.

How long

We keep your account data while your account exists. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. When an account is deleted, we remove its personal details; game records may remain in a form that is not linked to you, so the world's history stays consistent.

Your rights

Write to globusgames.official@gmail.com and you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account. We answer such requests within 30 days.

Age

GLOBUS is for players aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly keep data about anyone younger. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Security

Connections use HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed with bcrypt, and sign-in tokens are stored hashed as well. No service can promise perfect security, so please use a password you do not use anywhere else.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will show a notice in the game.
